Research line: Development of different aesthetic approaches applicable in immersive digital environments, from the Specific Programme Intangible Realities Laboratoy.
Indefinite-term contract for scientific and technical activities, pursuant to article 23 bis of Law 14/2011, of June 1, on science, technology and innovation.
Explore engaging low-entropy representational approaches for multi-person VR which can be applied to the visualization of nanophysics, as well as how artificial intelligence approaches can be applied to multi-user VR environments. Experiment with new ways for combining AI and VR that can be applied to real-time scientific simulation frameworks. Stay up-to-date with advancements in VR, real-time graphics, and artificial intelligence. Learn new technical and software frameworks as required to carry out creative projects. Develop sustainable high-quality software. Regular attendance and presentations at IRL group meetings to share ideas, outline progress, and solve problems. Participation in IRL events, workshops, and outreach activities, including technology demos, presentations and art installations. Research presentations and art presentations at international conferences and cultural institutions to demonstrate the work carried out. Publishing results in journals and at conferences.
Requirements
Research Field Computer science Education Level PhD or equivalent
Specific Requirements
Masters degree in Computer Science, Cognitive Science, Digital Art, or a related field: 20 points
C1 or equivalent in English: 10 points
Creditable work experience developing novel, high-quality VR approaches and applications which have been exhibited in public venues: 15 points
Creditable work experience with graphics development using engines such as Unity3D or Unreal Engine: 10 points
Creditable work experience using sensors and embodied interaction concepts to develop new aesthetic and interactive approaches in AR/VR: 10 points
Creditable work experience with C#, Arduino, Python, or other computing frameworks: 10 points
Personal interview. The interview will be carried out only to the 3 candidates with the highest score and that in the sum of the rest of the merits obtain a minimum of 50 points.: 25 points

Benefits
Part-time 75% (26.25 hours per week) 10:00-15:15 h.
Gross monthly salary: 1.648,70€
This contract will be assigned a project allowance of €1,297.00 per month during its period of association with activity 2019-PI123 "Nanoscale Design using Virtual Reality (NANOVR)".
