Payroll Specialist

Purpose of the Position
The Continental Europe (CE) Payroll Specialist will manage and oversee the entire payroll process and controls in the timekeeping system as well as being responsible for the accurate payment of salaries and benefits in the designated area, with the opportunity to support the designated countries in scope across Continental Europe.
Responsabilities
Own the end-to-end payroll processing for both blue-collar and white-collar employees in the designated area. (mostly employees in Spain).
Collect and calculate payroll and benefits information from the relevant sources, including benefits, bonuses, and vacations.
Coordinate international payroll through the In-Country-Payroll providers for the Griffith Foods branches in Continental Europe.
Ensure adherence to contractual agreements, local legislation and sectoral agreements throughout the employee lifecycle.
Monitor compliance updates to ensure legal compliance at country and local level.
Act as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for employee queries related to payroll and benefits.
Maintain and control the Time & Attendance system across the designated countries in scope.
Support the HRBP in the annual salary and wages budgeting process.
Ensure data accuracy and collaboration with Finance & HRIS to monitor & provide monthly payroll & headcount data against budget.
Assist with internal, external and statutory audits as required.
Responsible for creation & maintenance of correct and up to date payroll process documents, working closely with the HRIS team to streamline processes.
Proactive identification of opportunities for process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of payroll operations.
Execute reporting and data analytics responsibilities.
Collaborate alongside the broader HR team to support implementation of the Global Comp & Bens strategy.
Bring payroll expertise to any HRIS & payroll projects as needed.
Requirements
A relevant Bachelor/Master degree within an HR-related field of study.
Demonstrable experience as an international Payroll Specialist, preferably in a Spain context with a Blue Collar population (manufacturing is a pro).
Experience with comp & ben related tasks.
Thorough understanding of Spanish social legislation and tax regulations and you are eager to expand your knowledge internationally. Knowledge of Italian / France legislation is a pro.
Excellent Excel and reporting skills (PowerBI is a plus).
Extensive experience with HR and Payroll systems. Experience with Workday and Cloudpay is highly valued.
Speak Spanish in combination with fluent English.
Excellent analytical skills and exceptional accuracy in processing data.
Adept at working independently with proactive problem-solving skills, service oriented.
