Funciones: About this role
We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join the UK Legal Department. This is a permanent, full
time opportunity offering a hybrid working model.
Reporting directly to the Legal Director based in Canada (covering the UK, Ireland, Continental Europe, North America, Middle East and South Africa) , you will play a key role in providing commercially focused legal support across a fast
paced, international business.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded legal professional looking to take on a broad, hands
on role with exposure to multiple jurisdictions.
You will:
Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including Preferred Supplier Agreements, and other client contracts and supplier agreements
Develop, update and maintain standard terms of business for clients, candidates and suppliers
Provide practical legal advice to the business on contractual, legal and dispute
related matters
Support internal stakeholders including DPO, Company Secretary, Marketing, IT, Procurement and HR teams
Manage employment claims, including investigations, drafting responses, liaising with external counsel and supporting litigation processes
Maintain and update the internal contract management database to support accurate reporting to the business
Monitor and respond to queries via the shared Legal mailbox and provide cover for the Legal Administrator when required
Conduct legal and regulatory research and contribute to internal training initiatives
Collaborate with legal colleagues across international offices
Proactively identify legal risks and provide commercially pragmatic solutions Requisitos: What you will bring:
Fluency in English and an additional European language is a plus
Previous legal experience in contract reviews, preferably in an in
house environment within the recruitment industry
Strong knowledge of contract, commercial and employment law
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly in plain English
High attention to detail with strong organisational and problem
solving skills
Hard working and well organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure
A collaborative, team
oriented approach
Strong MS Office skills (advanced Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Legal qualification to practice law or equivalent.
